What is Prisca?

Prisca:

(Noun)

Pronunciation: /ˈprɪs-kə/

meaning ancient

*The name is also a nod to Priscilla and Acquilla of Acts 18.26 who took the young preacher Apollos to one side and “explained to him the way of God more accurately” (ESV).

How does it work?

The Prisca Preach programme runs from February 2026 via Hubs, which meet in various UK locations. All our Hubs also meet together for online training and an in-person conference. The aim of the programme is to equip, inspire and develop preachers, Bible-teachers and speakers, training them to deliver engaging, spirit-filled, Bible-based preaching.

What are Prisca Hubs?

Hubs are the vehicle in which the Prisca programme is delivered. Based all across the UK, our Hubs are groups of up to 20 people, who meet together weekly or monthly, in an evening or lunchtime, in person or online, to learn together from the Prisca curriculum through written and video resources. Hubs are led by a Prisca Hub Facilitator.

Who is Prisca for?

Whether you’re just starting out as a preacher or you’re a pro, Prisca is for anyone who wants to grow in confidence, sharpen their communication skills, and handle Scripture with clarity and care. It’s designed to help you engage deeply with the Bible, communicate in a way that resonates, and connect with your hearers more effectively.

We are passionate about equipping speakers, preachers & Bible teachers from across the Church to communicate the ancient truth of Scripture, in a way that is engaging and effective in today’s cultural moment.

Prisca was formed in 2021 to create spaces where preachers, at all stages, could come and improve their skills, make community and grow in their use of the Bible.
